This seminar covers a basic overview of digital video filmmaking using SD, HDV and/or Pro-HD workflow. You learn about equipment, lighting, software applications and the latest tips and tricks on how to launch or tune up your filmmaking skills.


Course Description
This one-day seminar covers basic camcorder, lighting, sound recording and edit techniques. You learn about all those buttons and menu items. If you've recently purchased a camcorder, lighting kit or edit app here's your chance to become more familiar.

 


Daily Schedule
We start out with a basic camcorder overview. Following a lunch break we move right into lighting and editing demonstrations. Along the way you learn about output to Film, DVD and the Internet. Finally we give you some tips on how to pick and choose gear that best suits your needs.

We've set up a series of workshops to train you in the fundamentals of digital video filmmaking. The workshops are designed to complement each other, however each course is a stand-alone event. The "DV Home Movies" & "DV Filmmaking" are soup to nuts training and overview. The other workshops target specific skills with more hands on training. At each session there is an abundance of the latest manufacturers products and documentation on hand for you to see. The camp is noted for its casual atmosphere and gives participants plenty of time for informal discussions with the teaching staff.
